You need to see a doc to be sure this is a yeast infection. Be sure to wear only 100% cotton underwear (read the tag), do not take tub baths if you have a shower, do sit around in a wet bathing suit, do not wear underwear to bed, do not douche or use soaps or feminine sprays in the vaginal area as the vagina is a self cleaning oriface. Eat lots of yogurt with live active culutres daily or take acidophillus capsules daily. Do see the doc to be sure this is a yeast infection though as it may be some other infection.

Is there thick, white discharge associated with the smell and itch? Is it a foul smell?
It might not even be a yeast infection. It could be bacterial, especially if there's a watery discharge and foul odor.
If this is ongoing and you can't get rid of it, chances are it's something more serious. You can't afford NOT to see a doctor at this point. There are clinics who will see patients on a sliding scale fee. Meaning what you pay is based on your income.

I've known 2 other women who have had this problem. Try eliminating any type of sugar (includes honey, brown sugar, etc) so watch the labels carefully; fructose of any kind is also sugar. It's some sort of food for overactive yeast problems. Before you try this, be sure you are wearing cotton lined underwear, no bubblebaths, no tight jeans, no abrasive sex, etc. which will also give you yeast infections. For more information try www.webmd.com I wish you the best of luck in getting rid of it!

Herpes outbreaks usually happen when you're under stressful conditions, also if your immune system is low, u have to see if maybe you have high blood sugar, because sometimes the onset of diabetes women tendo to get frequent yeast infections. u just have to see if maybe you have anemia. there are many free health clinics out there try to find out if you have any in your area. Goodluck and hope this helps.
