it's squash blossom season for fried blossoms stuffed w/ cheese, squash tortellini & truffle season for truffle ravioli, paperadelle w/ wild boar..... yummm!!! it's always gelato season....

As regards to the food we Italians are absolutely traditionalist and there is no margin for any fashion here, we save this for other stuffs....!! The most popular are still the same and then I would say pasta (any kind of pasta), pizza and gelato (Italian ice cream if, same as we do, you consider it's a food).

Still the true authentic food (can be very regional) since Italians don't like so much foreign cuisine like in other countries.

Mushrooms are now in season, pumpkins are to found more and more in the markets and apples are coming down from the hills in bushel fulls.

As always, pasta, seafood. veggies & fruit. Alone or together.

Don't forget the olive oil and cheese!
