YES! I hope some of you people are a little more cautious. You can get and pass STDs through vaginal, anal, or oral sex. Trichomoniasis can also picked up from contact with damp or moist objects such as towels, wet clothing, or a toilet seat, if the genital area gets in contact with these damp objects. Some STDs cause no symptoms. But STDs can still be passed from person to person even if there are no symptoms.

Yes, you can if you have had some kind of sexual contact. Blood, fluid from an open sore, and semen can carry the infections. You do not have to have had sexual penetration to get an STD. If you think you have contracted an STD, you need to go to a doctor.

I have heard of getting STD through fluids too, but isn't there only like a 1% chance of getting it? STD viruses don't survive long out in the open.

Hi Allyson,
Please be careful. A lot of what these people are saying is incorrect. You can contract an STD while you are still a virgin. Through oral or anal sex or through other non-sexual methods. Good luck
