1. Get lots of rest. The body works best when you're sleeping
2. Drink lots of fluids
3. I've heard that hot/spicy foods help a sore throat. It worked for me.
4. Take it easy. Don't do things that are too strenuous.

Hope you feel better!

There is no cure for the common cold. I just got over a really bad cold and my nose was stuffy and runny. Still had to go to school. Anyways here are somethings you can do-
1. wash your hands often to prevent others from catching a cold.
2. eat oranges, any fruit veggies and chicken noodle soup
3. blow your nose, if you sniffle your tummy will hurt later

I hope your cold goes away and you have a good time getting better!

Try Elderberry

Health Claims - Elderberry (Sambucus nigra, S. canadensis) reduces viral infections, including the common cold and flu.

How Does it Work? Elderberry works as a simple cleanser and as an antioxidant. It is also a diaphoretic, diuretic, and hepatic. It is anti-inflammatory, anti-catarrhal, and acts as a mild laxative. This gentle herb is used for bronchitis, catarrh, common cold symptoms including coughs and sore throats, fevers, influenza, neuralgia, rheumatism, sciatica, skin disorders, and hay fever.

How Should I Take It? A tea made with 3 to 5 grams of the dried flowers steeped in 250 ml (1 cup) boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes may be taken three times a day. Liquid Elderberry extract may be taken twice a day in amounts of 5 ml (for children) to 10 ml (for adults). Twenty to 60 drops of the tincture may be taken two or three times a day.

Try hot tea with a little ginger (or lemon) and some honey. Echinachea. Gargle with warm salt water. Get a humidifier or put a towel over your head while inhaling from a basin of hot water to open your sinuses. Make some vegetable soup. Check your local health food store for "cruelty free" cold medications.

Cold medicine doesn't make a cold go away, anyway. It just suppresses the symptoms. Only a little time and your immune system can make it go away.

One suggestion that I haven't seen is nasal douching with warm salt water. You just mix like 1/4 tsp of salt into warm water and breathe it up your nose one nostril at a time. It take a couple of tries to get used to the sensation, but the goal is to sniff it through your nostril and spit it out. The saline mixture is similar to that of your body's tissues, so it's soothing (like gargling with salt water) and, unlike decongestants, there's no rebound stuffiness.

Hot, steamy soup always seems to work wonders, too.

I'm sorry you feel so lousy.

Hot liquids, such as tea. If you have tea, add some agave nectar to it to soothe your throat. Eat hot veggie soups, broths if possible.

Get some Naked Food Juice Power-C which has tons of vitamin C and is pretty tasty to boot.

Emergen-C Vitamin C packets are pretty good, too.

Take some hot showers to clear out your sinuses and congestion.

Get lots of rest, too.

The only thing that gets rid of a cold is time, but doing all this will make you less miserable.

Lemon is the most important among the many home remedies for common cold. It is beneficial in all types of cold with fever. Vitamin C-rich lemon juice increases body resistance, decreases toxicity and reduces the duration of the illness. One lemon should be diluted in a glass of warm water, and a teaspoon of honey should be added to it. This should be taken once or twice daily.

Take mint leaves. Alot of them. Steep them in hot water for like, 30 minutes. Add Sugar in the Raw. I like 2 tablespoons per typical coffee cup size mug. Breathe in the steam for 5 minutes (don't burn yourself, please.) Then just slam the sweet, minty exilixr. Don't sip it, slam it. It should help w/ all the symptoms you have, and some you didn't realize you had... Hope ya feel better.
