Play games! Get out your old pictures and put them together in a scrapbook that you can all look at on another weekend. It is almost Halloween look for things around the house and make costumes. Cook a great meal together, Kids LOVE to cook. Take a walk and see how many birds you can spot and name. Take a camera along and use it to add another page to your scrapbook for another cold winter day. Write a story about your family. Get a jar and have each child and adult write something special about each other child and put it in the jar and each night before dinner everybody gets to pull one out and read it and guess who it is about and who wrote it. Write a letter to someone you love. Draw a card for Grandma and Grandpa. Turn on the radio and take turn singing the verses. There is so much you can do just have fun use your imagination. Kids love it and you know what so will you. Oh yeah play hop scotch, make cookies take some over to your neighbors that teaches sharing. When they get older they will look back and remember all the special days you shared together and it is so much more fun than drinking!
