Just for grown-up goblins: Serve up a little black magic -- in the form of cocktails made with vodka that's as dark as night.
Ghost in the Graveyard
Serves 1
2 ounces black vodka
2 ounces creme de cacao or coffee-flavored liqueur
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
Pinch of finely grated nutmeg, for garnish
In a glass, combine vodka and creme de cacao, and set aside. Place a scoop of ice cream in a highball glass, and slowly pour vodka mixture over ice cream. Garnish with nutmeg; serve immediately.

Screwed-Up Screwdriver
Serves 1
1/4 cup ice
1/2 cup freshly squeezed tangerine juice
1 1/2 ounces black vodka
1 black licorice twist, for serving
Place ice in a tall glass. Pour juice into glass. Pour vodka over the back of a cocktail spoon into glass so it sits on top of juice and creates a layer of black. Slice 1/4 inch off each end of licorice, and use as a straw. Serve immediately.

Berry Scary Martini
Serves 1
1 cup ice
1 ounce black vodka
2 ounces cherry juice
Fresh raspberries and blueberries, for garnish
Combine ice, vodka, and cherry juice in a cocktail shaker; shake vigorously. Pour into a martini glass. Thread raspberries and blueberries onto a cocktail skewer, and place in drink. Serve immediately.

Chai-Spiced Cider Punch
Ingredients:
Serves 20
4 whole star anise
4 cinnamon sticks, each 3 inches
12 whole cloves
24 cardamom pods
1 piece (6 inches) fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
2 cups pure maple syrup
16 cups (1 gallon) apple cider
6 cups chilled seltzer
Directions
Bring spices, ginger, syrup, and 1 cup water to a boil in a small saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer 8 to 10 minutes. Let stand at room temperature 1 hour. Strain, and discard solids.
Stir together spiced syrup and apple cider in a pitcher, and refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour. Pour spiced cider into punch bowl; stir in seltzer.

1 can frozen orange juice
1 two liter of Ginger Ale
1 can frozen pineapple juice
2 liter 7Up, may not need all
fifth of vodka
Mix everything except the sherbet and right before you plan to server scoop in sherbet.
Here's another:
2 1/2 cups apple vodka
1 1/4 cup apple schnapps
6 cups lemon-lime soda
Frozen red apples
Apple slices, for garnish
Combine vodka, schnapps and soda in a punch bowl. Float frozen apples in punch. Garnish glasses with apple slices.

Here's a good one...Zombie Punch
2 fifths dark rum
2 fifths light rum
1 fifth Bacardi 151
2 pints Triple Sec
3 quarts lemon juice
1 quart Grenadine
Mix thoroughly. Chill with a large cake of ice ( with gummy worms frozen in the block ). Let stand for about an hour before serving. Makes 75-80 4 oz servings.
