NO, in order to check the patentacy of your coronary arteries status, the GOLD STANDARD is Angiography.
There is no substitutive test/s for it. It is now a very safe procedure.

I am looking into this question for my mother-in-law as her doctor has recommended she have an angiogram but she is concerned about doing any unnecessary procedures. According to the article you will find in this link, there are times when an angiogram is appropriate and times when it is ordered unnecessarily. As it can carry some high risks, the author recommends other tests that should be done first in some cases. I think you will find this article informative and helpful in making your decision.

I am 60 and had a angiogram in April of this year. I had no problems I followed the dr's instructions to a tee. The conclusion was good.

I assume EKg, stress test, echocardiogram have been done.
If not, demand it/them.

Actually angiogram is quite safe. Probably all you will feel is the original insertion of catheter

At any age ,when there are symptoms, there is the possibililty of a congenital abnormality.

Better to know it now than later - especially if it is too late

i dont think there is anything as diagnostic and or as definitive as an angiogram. i would suggest going through with it and seeing what the doc has to say.
