Spring charge motors are DC operated Motor for operating Stored energy Mechanism used to energies (for closing or opening or Trip ) the breaker. These are used in Low voltage Air circuit Breaker,MOCB(Minimum oil circuit Breakers ) Vac *** Breaker ,HV breakers, MOCB, SF6 breakers(Motoraised Actuator used) Etc. It is normally available in 48v DC,110v DC, 220v DC Universal Motors. This will charge the Breakers within a minutes,If manually charge it will take>3to 5 min.It is used for Auto closing /Remote Start Application in process Industries , various Generation to Distribution Substation.Breaker operation will be very fast (less 1 sec).these stored energy is always available in Breaker while closing or tripping by solenoid coil only , with suitable control circuits. With these capabilities Automation Industries work efficiently without any down time . These breaker are not at all operated manually except test purpose.

Depends on the circumstances. However, some large circuit breakers, for example, are designed to be moved quickly by a spring, and the spring charging motor tensions that spring.

Also occurs in some emergency doors, shutters etc., which are shut by a large spring when triggered, the charging motor carries out the same task as above.
