Should,nt these dogs be shipped to North Korea instead?

First, Puerto Rico is a U.S. Territory, not a "foreign country". They are not dumping their dogs on the U.S.-some travelers from the states are bringing abandoned dogs home with them, and some rescue groups are organizing efforts to bring some dogs home with them to be adopted out. Puerto Rico has a huge problem with people abandoning dogs, and these people are bringing these dogs back to try to give them a chance at life. I really don't think the problem can be solved without mandatory spay/neuter laws and education of the population, but these people have the right to bring these dogs home with them if they wish.

I guess I missed something some place. But I think it would be expensive for Puerto Rico to ship their dumped dogs to America.

Equally baffled - - - why can't China & Korea work things out with Puerto Rico....???? What is truly weird is those intent on saving Puerto Rico's stray dog population are the same people funding the war in Iraq.. Arf Arf,,,,,,

Yep all the while crying that the shelters are overfull .....
Whlie the manditory spay neuter legislation was going on in CA you could google and find at least half a dozen orginizations dedicated to shipping in strays to california from mexico and one from ROMANIA - yet the legislation was nessary to releive the overcrowded shelters.....
Ah well we try to limit our farm production and import the foods so limited too

Personally I do not belive we should rescue dogs in PR when so many in the USA are being killed. Adopt an all American dog instead of adopting a status symbol "import".
