i have realy bad ear acje and i cant go to my doctor as i live in the uk and there not open weekrnds im going out on a hen party tonight and would like to know if anyone knows of anything that will get rid of it as i can feel it in my throat too. Any home remedies or something that i can buy from the chemist, i dont care how much it is i just want the oain to go away so i can enjoy my night out tonight thanx guys

Hi- Is there not an A&E facility you can go to? If you are suffering with a bad ear ache, along with throat pain, you may be suffering with a bacterial infection which requires antibiotic treatment. Are you running a fever? In the meantime, get some over the counter ear drops used for pain only, some cold/sinus meds to help with the pain issues, also. Try using a hair blower to ur ear, as strange as this sounds, as this will help with the pain. Also, purchase some lozenges for the throat pain. Ask the Chemist what to do. They are the specialists. It won't be much fun if you feel this badly, so hope this helped. Good luck and take care!

It sounds a bit weird, but if you're not going out in public before your night out, strap a half onion onto your ear, with the cut side onto your ear. I've done this many times, and it really helps draw the infection out.

I would recommend going to A&E (I'm familiar with some of the terms used in the UK because of friends from there) and let them evaluate the situation further before trying to self treat.
