Why do you think death is the best answer. Why not torture?
Do we want vengeance or do we want to cure the problem. I would like to understand the perpetrator. I would like to see some kind of treatment for this illness and like to know what caused this. Because there are certainly more out there. If we understood the process of what makes this monster maybe we could prevent these things from happening again. The major question I have is why do these things happen often in America but i do not see them in other countries. Why?

Do you want an answer based on the law, or an answer based on human emotion?

All of us detest that he did, and no punishment would be severe enough to compensate for what he did to that child.
But know this....he now is in prison and the other prisoners know what he did. You can not imagine what is going to happen to him. They will probably put him in some sort of isolation ward to keep him from being killed.

The law will have to deal with him. That is what America is all about. If you don't like our laws, do what ever needs to be done to get them changed. We are a nation of laws, and though those laws failed to protect the life of an 8 year old, they will punish his killer. But believe me, the punishment he will get in prison will be worse than any judge will mandate.
