you didnt "earn" it all
you won it, legally and honestly but that is not earning it
of course there are some biblical injunctions against gambling so some folks say ALL lotteries are evil and sinful

You did not earn this money. I'd also extend this concept of "not earning" to people who deal with hedge funds and speculative financial dealings to try to make a quick buck through other forms of gambling.

We have just way too many stock speculators and other types of paper pushers (ENRON) who try to make big bucks by manipulating the system. They don't actually provide much true economic benefit, but take a good chunk of profits away from those who are earning an honest living.

I would say that a dish washer, doctor, farmer, sofware programmer, architect, effective business leader, and kitchen staff all earn money, mostly honestly. I'd say that a gambler (financial markets or formal games) does not qualify in my mind as someone who earned their money. In addition, if you cheated at lotto, then it would not be honest either.

You definitely won it honestly because you obliged by all rules and had just as good of a shot as winning as anyone else.
The real question is do you feel proud of your winnings ? Meaning would you rather have 10 million dollars in your bank account because you have a very very successful business or because you picked 6 numbers right.
Personally I would be very happy with 10 million dollars ( of course ) but note there are alot of headaces that come with that money. Family and friends constantly wanting money from you. The feeling of not ever knowing who likes you for you or your bank account. And yes there are alot of people who become very depressed on the fact of being ashamed of having this money by guessing a few numbers correctly.
You feel the eyes on you and you know people think you didnt deserve this money.....
Maybe thats the real question, do you feel like you deserve the money ?

Well, lets look at it. Everyone puts their few bucks into the lottery which is totally random and by luck of draw. No one is Dishonest, everyone is Honest. I doubt you can cheat the system and if it was possible... get away with it. Even though everyone in the world will hate you if you do when a big jackpot ha ha ha... bastards!

Good day!

The money you spent on your Lottery was yours to spend, if you happen to win, it's yours to do with what you like! There is nothing honest or dishonest about it. It's just a game of chance.

The lottery is legal, so you earned it honestly. If you stold, scammed, or got it from a lawyer it was dishonest. Ok, maybe not the lawyer part.

It's totally honest. Your not stealing the money. Your playing a game. I never play but I don't like the game. It's not fun for me.
