It seems that people are getting not only more weird, but more evil also. I was watching Phil Spector trial, what happened to him, he went kookoo...Too bad, there was a man who was a genius, and look how he ended up..too much money? Drugs get to him over the years? too much power? Who knows but the 'crazy'ness doesn't seem to discriminate, does it. Good observation

Sure, once the drama of high school is over, you can be less interested in 'fitting in' and more interested in being yourself. No one is around snicking their nose up your butt trying to find your business therefore more free to act weird. The average age of onset for most mental illnesses is late teens/early twenties, but illnesses like schizophrenia are progressive. A person could have the early stages of a mental illness and seem perfectly normal for the next five to ten years. Also, as we get older we get to know a wider variety of people making it more likely that we'll get to meet someone who is or was mentally ill.

As kids we seem to enjoy the crazyness. When we get older and settle a bit we are them assumed by what the crazyness will do to our own. And yes sometimes it does, but then I remember some of my friends and I have to say most of them are never topped in the crazy department. ;-)

When we get older, we assess more risks and so forth.

I used to do crazy things when I was a little monkey, but now that I think about it, some of the things I did where crazy...xD
