Don't do that to her. Be honest and let her know how you feel, but be gentle. You will hurt her feelings if you leave abruptly like that. Don't you think she'll figure it out if you leave to go to the washroom and not come back? Of course she will, and she'll always remember you for that as well. Remember, what goes around, comes around. If you take the cowardly way out, she'll have absolutely no respect for you and for all you know, you could run into her again one day.

At least by being honest with her you're dealing with it like a man and she'll appreciate the fact that you were honest and forthright and that you didn't waste anyone's time or hurt anyone's feelings! Even though she may be hurt, she'll appreciate you being honest with her, BUT in a gentle way. Be kind and spare her feelings! Who knows, she may feel the same way about you, and I can assure you that she wouldn't be planning on leaving to go to the washroom without returning.

get your friend to call you 20 mins into the date to sort of check up for you and have a scenario planned (talk in code) if its going alright you may say "yes I paid the bill yesterday" meaning everything is cool.... otherwise say an emergency has come up and you have to leave. Or get the friend to come along at the date (b ut sit on another table) have a signal to say you are ok or going badly then they can come up and interuppt the meal and there is a 3rd person in the date and then piss off somewhere else.

That would not be very nice of you to do that. But here is what you do...when you are out with her take your cell phone along. Before you leave call up one of your friends and tell him/her to call you say fifteen minutes after you are supposed to meet up with the person. If she is a freak then you pretend that some horrible emergency has come up, and you have to leave. It works like magic, and no one gets their feelings hurt!

I once had to change my phone number after a blind date, but hey at least I had the guts to get to the end of the date!

I think that would be a completely humiliating way to end the date. That would be much, much worse than just having a short dinner and offering to take her home. Unless your life is in danger or something, please have the courtesy to have a meal with the person.

Don't do that and just leave without saying anything.

Be a man and tell it the way it is - but be gentle

You never know - she might feel the same about you

You don't want to hurt her feelings? Then why would you leave like that? Tell her you have an emergency or something.
