He is an exalted Man with flesh and bones (no blood) D&C 130:22
He is as potent as possible. There are things that he cannot do, and remain God, like lie. Alma 42:13
He is omniscient
He is omnipresent through the Holy Ghost
The scripture that comes to mind about God being a Man is John 5:19
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
If the Son is not able to do anything unless He's seen the Father do it, then the Father must have been born, lived, healed sick, raised dead, etc.

We believe that God is an exalted man.
We believe him to be omnipotent and omniscient, I'm not certain about the omnipresent as we refer to God himself (you must remember that we also believe the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost to be three separate beings) so the Holy Ghost is capable of being omnipresent in spirit.
The only evidence I can think of at the moment is that in order for man to be created in God's image, God must have a man-like appearance.
Unfortunately, I do not have any older translations of the Bible, so I have very little evidence that hasn't been removed from the Bible by well-meaning preachers and translators.

We believe God the Father is an exalted being who was once a man.

God the Father is the Supreme Being in whom we believe and whom we worship. He is the ultimate Creator, Ruler, and Preserver of all things. He is perfect, has all power, and knows all things. He "has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's" (D&C 130:22).
And no, I personally can't show you anywhere in the bible it states God was once a man. You must remember, we rely on more than just the bible for our beliefs, we believe in modern revelation.

There is noting in the Bible about it, one way or the other. It's not a "saving ordinance" or belief. It's just something that makes sense to most Mormons.

I am ex-LDS, yes they either do believe in this doctrine, or in the least some of their past leaders taught it and therefore many members believe in that doctrine. Some seem to shy away from it today, or at least won't admit it.
They believe that if you are married for time and eternity in their temples, also called Celestial Marriage, you will inherit the 3rd degree of glory and "be as Gods" and eternally procreating spirit children in the afterlife who will inhabit a planet you rule over as a heavenly father and heavenly mother.
The entire concept is preposterous. It is not once mentioned in the Book of Mormon or Bible. In fact the Book of Mormon strongly condemns many of their beliefs such as the past practice of polygamy, and current practices of baptism for the dead, 3 degrees of glory, 1st presidency and other doctrines.
