I work at LAX and have never heard of desserthill outlet. Dessert spells after dinner food, like pudding and ice cream. Are you refering to the Outlet in the Desert, like Mohave Desert? If you are talking about the one close to Palm Springs a taxi is not feasible. Are you talking about the Outlet close to Barstow? Again, taxi would not be feasible. You are too far away. Its over 100 miles from Los Angeles. If you come to LAX you might need to go to Union Station and take a train. I just checked the Internet, Deserthill is close to Palm Springs in Cabazon. No taxi will take you that far. You will need a train or a Greyhound Bus. Or take a comunter plane to Palm Springs. Or you would be better off flying into Riverside, or Ontario.

The amount of money it would cost to book a taxi even in advance would still be alot. If you are going to spend that much cash on transportation to get there, might as well just stay locally and shop at Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills, and get the cutting edge fashions, rather than the older stuff at Cabazon.
By the way, Cabazon is great, but not that great, once I was able to "steal" an Armani Suit for 400 dollars at the Armani store marked down from over 2000 dollars, becuase it was a couple seasons old, but I went other times, and couldnt find anything worth buying or taking the drive out there for, and things I did want to buy they didnt have my size.

You should go to your hotel and look for some tours or service that take you to the outlet. I was there in the summer (soooooo HOT there) and noticed lots of nice charters buses parked there. Unfortunately I don't remember any of the name of the charters.

if you have money to burn on a taxi, then just shop locally.

Rent a car.
