Would it hurt me in the future if I refused a job offer, and then go back a yr or two later asking for a job again?

I want to interview at this place, but not sure about my plans in 8 months (upon graduation)...so I'm not sure whether I can accept the job offer or not. If i cannot and turned down the job offer, would that hurt me if I do want to come back to the same company in a few years?

I would be up front with the interviewer and don't burn any bridges. You can always say that you are very interested in working for the company and wanted to find out more about working for them. Tell them something reasonable about why you might not be able to work for them after graduation. If they balk, thank them for the opportunity to interview and tell them you would like to come back and apply when your future is settled. They may have a place for someone on a temp basis. You never know unless you ask. I wouldn't hold it against you but then you never know what the next guy will think. I would go and ask lots of questions to be sure it is a company you might like to work for. . .

I don't understand why you would waste their time unless you needed or wanted to work there.
That's what they will think about you, so be very careful.

However, if all you are worried about is what 'might' happen in 8 months, and you need the money, I'd say go for the interview and try for the job. You may figure out what you want to do after graduate and still have money coming in from that job.
