I have a Sony 7.2 MP DSC W55 Cyber-shot Digital Camera.
Be detailed if you can lol. I have the port and I know how to insert it in the computer but I don't know where to put it on my camera. I've tried and tried but I just can't seem to find anywhere that fits it!

Ok. So I have teh USB Port. It's a gray cord. One end connects to the omputer the other to the camera. I tried to push the end that looked like it'd go thru into the part under the LCD screen. It still doesn't fit.
The cord also says SONY on it too. Like, wehere you hold it.

read the manual, look for a rubber/plastic cover type thing then move it to reveal the usb port, might be near where you put the card it

If I'm correct, I believe the DSC-W55 is VERY similar to the DSC-W70...and on the W-70 the port that goes into the camera is right below the LCD screen at the bottom of the camera. It should be a thin rectangular shape. On mine there isn't any rubber piece covering it, so there may not be one on your either. Be sure to push the buttons on the side of the port as your putting it into the camera, this should help it go in easier. Hope this helps!

I have a similar Sony DSC. The connector near the LCD is for the battery charger. On the left side of the camera, as you hold it to take a picture you have an ACC connector hole, just below that is a hinged door. open the door, there is a yellow a/v connector and next to that is the usb connector. The usb logo is marked on the underside of the door.

Connect one end of the USB Cable provided to the multi connector below the LCD screen (under a protective cover)and the other end onto the computer. Its done.

maybe your usb cable is damaged, buy a new one, but you have to bring your video cam with you so they can try if it will work normally.
