Broadway shows may be brought to a halt by union lockout so don't jump the gun and buy tickets for they might not be worth the paper they are printed.

You can try broadway.com and seasonofsavings.com and see if they are to your liking.

The cheapest by far are what's known as "Rush Tickets". It requires you to show up at the theater hours before the actual show begins for a chance to buy tickets for $20-$25 and they are usually the first 2 rows of orchestra. So you are getting some of the best seats in the house for the cheapest price.

However there are usually 100 people drawing for 20 tickets so your chances aren't too good.

You can also join tdf.org which is the Theatre Development Fund, they often have tickets at half price or more for members.
