Drink ideas with vodka?

Question

I have two bottles of vodka and some flavored rum, but I haven't the slightest idea on how to make drinks. If anyone knows any good drink ideas with vodka and flavored rum, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

ps: the vodka is Absolut and Smirnoff. They were given to me as a gift.

Oh, by the way...I didn't mean for it to sound like I wanted to mix the vodka and rum together. I would like ideas for the vodka and rum seperately.

Vodka with cranberry juice (cape codder), vodka with cranberry and grapefruit juice (seabreaze) are my favorite vodka drinks. You can't go wrong with a bloody mary (vodka and a spiced-up tomato juice mixer) or a variation like a clamdigger (vodka and clamato juice) are also pretty good. If you want to make shots, a good shot is 2 parts vodka, 1 part triple sec, and 1 part lime juice (called a kamikaze). For the Absolut, which is pretty smooth you can make a lemondrop, which is a vodka shot that has been chilled, and served either with a lemon wedge that has been dipped in sugar, or with a lemon wedge in a sugar-rimmed glass. Vodka and rum are both versatile liquors that go well with almost any mixer, pop, or juice. Have fun trying the various drinks and stick with the ones you like best.

With rum you can make daiquiris. The "original daquiri" uses 2oz rum, 1oz fresh lime juice, and 2 barspoons simple syrup. For a "hemingway daiquiri": use 3/4 oz white rum, 1/2 oz maraschino cherry juice (from a jar of maraschino cherries- or else buy the flavored syrup), 2 barspoons grapefruit juice, and 2 barspoons fresh lime juice. You could also make ClassicMartini's- all you need besides vodka is a splash of vermouth and olives or lemon for garnish. If you add various fruit juices to the vodka- you can make flavored martini's. For example- if you add pomegranate or pomogranate juice to the vodka and simple syrup mix you will have a "pomogranate martini". Vodka cranberry is always a popular drink- many NY nightclubs serve a selection of carafes of beverages to patrons who order a bottle of vodka including cranberry juice, orange juice, tonic water, soda, and pineapple juice. Most people like some combination therein. Rum with orange juice and pineapple juice is a personal favorite. Add a splash of milk or cream- and garnish with coconut flakes for extra yum. Possibilites are endless...

Vodka can make jello shooters, and can be mixed with most any juice. It's good with energy drinks too like red bull and nause.
Rum and coke is pretty popular.

Personally I drink it straight up.

Got a punch bowl, take some orange juice, maybe even some hawiian punch, if you can grenadine but if not the hawiian punch acts as the flavor, take some pineapple juice and gingerale and ice, and you have got a ROCK solid drink.

i like mixing vodka with any kind of diet soda pretty much [except sierra mist, ew], lemonade, various crystal light flavors, mostly any juice...i don't drink rum very much, so i cant really help you out much there.
