In the beginning Man created God; and in the image of Man created him.
And Man gave unto God a multitude of names, that he might be Lord over all the earth when it was suited for Man.
And on the seventh millionth day Man rested and did lean heavily on his God and saw that it was good.
And Man formed technology and science and saw that it was good.
And Man with technology became the God that he had created and with his earthly miracles did rule over the earth.
And as all these things come to pass, the Spirit that did cause man to create his God lived on within all men.
And Man saw it not and for Christ's sake he'd better start looking.

I'm sorry if you feel this way about God. But whatever happened that made you feel this way is understandable. Sometimes we feel God has abandoned us whenever we fail to feel His presence and power especially during our trial most time. Hold on, friend and don't let go of your faith!!!

God is the Almighty and Supreme Being. He knows all our hearts' desire even before we ask. We just have to trust HIM that He knows what's best for us. He may not answer your prayer now but be patient in waiting. I firmly believe that He does answer all our prayers in His own special way and perfect time.

god maybe projected to be what ever one thinks of .It 's you who has to come nearer to him.Once it was said 2 no right to question the scriptures -only abide by all"If you disobey then blasphemy on you. Then at next generations they allowed critics but under control- only those " at upper strata" had had to do it and you follow them blindly. Then when people left religions they came back with new devices that still does not work. Why ? They failed to tell the truth to their disciples. Now it's TIME for any interested party to come close to God ( which is nothing but positive way of life)on his own by discovering himself the Q&A ways.remember all Gods are silent you have to draw the meanings and asks why others talk so much on his behalf?Drive into this mystery and know much at yourself and your God-no intermediary needed this world social is evolving and abound at examples of human behavior-at all gradings- at all societies!
Do you find the common sense in what I say?

These are the choices (assuming you're correct that God doesn't help us): 1. There is no God; 2. God exists and can help us but chooses not to for his own reasons; 3. God exists and would like to help us but can't; 4. God exists, can't help us, and doesn't want to.

I would say #1 is most likely, but, as an agnostic, I'm not sure.

He helps:

Psalms 37:40
And Yahweh shall help them and deliver them; he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.

Our heavenly father is able to help us, but he doesn't always intervene because mankind was given free-will and needs to see the result of their decisions. His overall plan moves forward.

Any hard times we have now are to build character.

James 1:2-4
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

God isn't a being, sweets, god is being itself... god is the essence of life, of love, of energy. God is in you. God is in the hand of the artist who paints with mere pigments and oils, and creates an image that is as clear as if it were in your language. God is in the hand of the surgeon as he cuts to cure, and in the smile of a mom as she sees the face of her new born child. Hon, god ain't no guy, with a penis... god is far bigger an idea. Most bright people with an education gave up fairy tales, the Easter bunny, Santa, and sky daddies as children. You should too...

Who told you that? I've read the bible. For every person god helped, there are 1000 that he abusesd, THAT NUMBER IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. God is EVIL, which makes believers in god EVIL as well. They won't go to hell, because there is no hell. But, they cause untold misery to the human race. Sure, they build a hospital here and there, but its all a PR ploy.

Because he examines the heart when someone prays, if your prayers are not for the better of yourself. You are asking for the wrong reasons.
