I was told that any form of reading into your lives, present, future, or past was a form of working with the devil.

Well if you're Christian you may well believe that. But if you think like I do you will realise you are an individual who is able to decide for herself what is right and true for yourself.

As for myself, I have read tarot for a number of years and found them helpful for myself and others and been astounded, even after 5 years of reading, what I have read in the cards. Things I cannot possibly know. So I see no evil in tarot myself. But I'm pagan and so don't believe in the devil.

As for crystals. Like many things on this earth they hold different vibration that we can tune into and can use to aid us in various parts of our lives. For helping to heal and cleanse ourselves and our homes for instance. Than can also be used to re balance.

So given how crystals can help us, what can be so evil about them?

The same goers for Tarot. Used correctly they can help us in descion making. Maybe see obsticles in our way, and so forth.

But as I said before, it's what YOU feel about them. By all means take on advice and opinions, but don't let them influence you. You are your own person and your inteligent.

My advice...make good use of google to learn about them and then draw your own conclusion. I've done a little searching to get you started.

Hope they help

Blessings

The tarot is a tool for understanding the path you are on and the most probable course it will take. Divination using crystals is the same. People have been using these and other methods to determine what the Gods want for millennia

Ultimately, YOU are the one who makes the decision about what to do with the knowledge you gain using these methods.

Neither one of these methods are evil or depends on an evil entity to make them work

They are just misguided since one should be asking God and not a card. However, as a Christian who is studying comparative religions, Tarot cards actually portray a remarkable ancient wisdom that is true to all religions. Revelation is also coloured heavily with images shared in Tarot cards, as well as Astrology (look up the Eagle, Human, Ox and Lion), much less the water bearer that leads the Apostles to the Last Supper (Aquarius).

Again, you don't need those when you have God, which is why they are wrong, you are substituting and trusting something instead of God. However, all things are related, even playing cards that billions of people around the world are based on Tarot symbology and imagery, again on the Wisdom of the Ages, which is portrayed in all religions, however, the Truth of Christianity is the fullest, and most complete, Truth and Wisdom of God. All good and true religions are valuable though.

Well...Jesus and the Prophets saw into the past, present and future. Can't God still work in this way today...of course He/She can!

The Tarot is a deck of cards...they are an inanimate object. (A deck of cards is incapable of being evil.) They are just a point of focus for the sub-conscience.

Crystals are made of energy, just like everything and everyone on this planet. They are things...and are incapable of being evil. Crystals are said to have healing power. If God created everything, including crystals, to help us, nourish us, and heal us here on earth, then why shouldn't we use them for their intended purpose? Blessings!

No that's just narrow-minded people trying to impose their obsolete and stupid dogmas on you.

I practice Tarot, and I don't even believe in any devils. And me trying to explore my own development is hardly what I would call evil.

Hon, look around you. You experience no spooks, no sky daddies, no nothing but cold hard science and reality. There ain't no heaven, there ain't no hell, crystals do nothing, cards do nothing, prayers do nothing. If the prayers of 11 million people burning in the holocaust went unanswered, what do you think the chances of some silly crystals are going to do for your puny little wishes.... Get real. Take control of your own life, form your own future and rely on your brains and efforts. You can do it.

Uhh doing anything that gives you the slightest of a chance of leaving YOUR religion is considered a "sin" so thats not really much of a question.

In the eyes of Christianity, it is. I don't agree with this.
