I walk fast, about 4 miles per hour. The math work tells me that's a 15 minute mile. The fella who answered 5-8 must be a runner. An 8 minute mile is a speed of more than 7 miles per hour, 5 minutes is 12 miles per hour. that a hell of a sprint.

A good strong mile should take 15 minutes.

I play basketball so I don't walk I run and I usually finish a mile in 6 minutes.

It depends how fast you walk but I walk 15 minute miles and I walk pretty fast ,long strides.

200 steps = 1 mile
100 steps take to 2 in a half min.
so about 5 min

It usually takes me like 15 to 20 minutes......on a tread mill.....i don't do the quick walk stuff....

It depends if the terrain is hilly or flat. and I walk faster downhill.

I'm a slim/slender type , so i could probably do better, then someone who is of a bigger weight.
