Adobe Acrobat should be kept on your computer as most manuals and tutorials downloaded from the internet are in Adobe Acrobat's native format, PDF.

Quicktime is literally, "Windows Media Player for Mac". It plays some video and audio formats that Windows Media Player doesn't.
However, there are some other media players like VLC and Media Player Classic which can play the files native to QuickTime. If you have any of such programs, you can safely uninstall quictime, otherwise, uninstall it if you wish.

If you have a current Windows Media Player (9 or 10), you don't need Quicktime. A lot of computers have Real Player, Windows Media Player, and Quicktime. You really only need Windows Media Player. These devices play video on your computer. I only use Windows Media Player and can play anything on the net.

You do need an Adobe Acrobat for PDF files. Check and see if you have two versions. The latest is 7.0 I think. If you delete these programs, you can always download them later at their websites.

Quicktime is a media player. You need it for some file types (mainly quicktime) and sometimes to play games. If you have any games or files that use it, keep it.
Adobe Acrobat is for PDF files. Those are basically a fancy word document. Definatly keep it. A lot of times instructions and tutorials and help pages are in PDF format.

Some sites like YouTube need it to play certain videos, depending what format they were uploaded with.
If you have a more current version of Acrobat reader (6, 7, or 8) it would be safe to remove. You should always remove older programs before installing current versions.

Good luck.

I am not sure what they are needed for either. But there is no problem that I know of if you delete. Good luck.
