Step 1 - find a new doctor before he kills you
Step 2 - go to a pharmacy and purchase the proper remedy for this condition....there are several effective products you can buy that do not require a prescription.

I think your doctor is insane. You don't use household cleaning products to treat an infection on the skin of your feet. I would have to suggest going to a dermatologist for that, that way they can give you antibiotics or a medicated cream or something. But, I could be wrong.

I don't know if this is sound medical advice or if your doctor has lost his mind but what I do know is that if I felt uncomfortable with any treatment I'd seek a second opinion and in the mean time stick with over the counter fungal treatments like tenactin.

athlete's foot is a fungal infection, and last time I looked at the lysol bottle, I don't remember anything on it saying it is antifungal. I agree with the girl that says your doctor is insane.

There are many over the counter treatments, but I swear this is the truth, my friends doctor told her that the reason her family gets athletes foot and she doesn't, is because she pee's in the shower and their is something in urine that cures it. I am not kidding that is the truth. I didn't believe her so I asked, and other doctors say it is true.

Your doctor is a quack and for telling you to use lysol on your body to treat a fungal infection! :o
Would if you came down with a very serious allergic reaction or chemical burn?
anyhow, go see a foot specialist and they will prescribe an anti-fungal cream for you.

He got it all wrong. Its the shoes, not your feet that gets soaked in lysol. It KILLS the germs , fungus etc in the shoes.
An alum powder soak is easier on your poor feet.

actually Lysol works quite well on nail fungus... the cheap generic stuff at the Dollar store is even better since it is already diluted.
