Blue is really big with chocolate brown now. Also different shades of beige sort of a tone on tone would look good.

Some colors for beige and brown:
rose
peach or terracotta
banana or honey gold
mint or jade or emerald
lime or kelly or leaf green
sky or smoke blue
aqua or teal
I would pick one or two of the colors above for curtains, pillows, throws, perhaps a rug;
add some warm wood tones in tables, shelves;
and frame all art work in similar color and material - oak/walnut, brass/chrome, or colored enamel;
include ornaments in the colors used; and add plants or silk flowers.

Greens would give it an earthy feel. But actually in decorating, the brown and beige would both be rather neutral and you can create your color scheme with other colors. Go with either an analogous scheme of rust, yellow and browns or a sort of complimentary scheme with a green and rust.

Try some muted greens and reds or blues. The colors don't have to be bright. Look in your closet for a sweater or something that you really enjoy and use that color as a starting point. Choose a color of your favorite food. If you like fruits and vegetables, there is plenty of inspiration for color there. Look at HGTV.com or diy.net for inspiration.

Hi Sophiesmama, I would like to suggest chocolate curtains with white lace inserts, white throws & chocolate & beige pillows & maybe a nice simple design floor rug. Another combination would be Peach curtains with cream lace inserts, cream throws & peach pillows with a contempary design floor rug.Also look around for some vases, figurines, maybe some prints to hang on the wall to compliment the room as well. I hope these suggestions help with your question.

some dark brown and rustic orange pillows. even goldish color curtains and throw would look good. look at your picture and room decor to see what colors are in your pictures and things and go from that.
