Your BEST option, I think, is Audacity. Much better than the rest. http://audacity.sourceforge.net

- go to http://sourceforge.net
- under software categories click multimedia
- when new windows opens type audio in search box
- enter
- check results - all programs on sourceforge.net are under GNU
licence which means FREE to download
