A question was asked just moments ago by a concerned mother with an ill child. She requested that you pray for his health, that he not need to have a biopsy.

Some people retorted that she was seeking only pity, and that this is not a forum for prayers.

I understand that this is a place for questions and answers, but prayer requests for children are much more important than the assinine questions that usually flood this forum.

You are certainly welcome to tell me off. But keep in mind that, after more than 30 years of atheism, I am still able to see clearly both sides of the fence. That doesn't make me better than you, and I am thankful I at least possess some compassion.

So I ask you, did your harsh words to this worried woman make you feel good in any way, shape, or form?

Screwdriver, prayers and kind words offer COMFORT in times of need. It doesn't matter that you believe, she was only seeking comfort in the best way she knew how.

Some people are @ssholes, no matter what they belive. I like to think that this forum is for getting in touch with others, but a few bad apples will spoil the bushel. I will certainly pass on my blessings to her. She is very frightened for her child. I would be petrified if the docs feared my kid had cancer.

The world is replete with malicious virus. What a shame, indeed! I have seen and experienced bizarre situations, of people indulging in "mean scarcity mentality" and I was very, very dismayed. But, nowadays, such phenomenon seem to be the predominant order of the day, rather than, being "rarest of rare" exceptions...

That's really sad, isn't it, when 'good' people can't even tear down the barrier between belief and non-belief in God to offer words of encouragement to a woman with a sick child who is obviously worried sick. What a shame!

...I answered this question just a bit ago with healing scripture...I also read the answers that were negative and one thing remains true...even if these answerers, who attacked so hatefully, were in the same shoes, I would still pray for them...as a matter of fact, I will pray for their broken spirits as well as pray for this little sick boy

This Christian thanks you for speaking up on our behalf. I have often said that it is much easier to tear someone down than to build them up.

I appreciate your voice..........
