Our computer has Microsoft Office Word 2007, but I'm so unfamiliar with it. Like everything is in icons and half the menus are hidden. Is there a place on the internet to just get an older version that I'm used to to work from??

You might be able to find it for sale on eBay or a store like HalfPrice Books. But actually I'd recommend you install the free downloads that add a "Getting Started" tab to your 2007 environments to learn how to upgrade your skills from 2003 -- might as well, since 2007 isn't going away, and eventually 2003 won't be supported anymore. No. I belive you can get a TRIAL of 2003, but it only lasts for 30 days. It may have been taken down since 2007 is out though. You can change the style of 2007 if you would like, but you will get used to it fast anyways. Soon you wont even notice a difference.

Microsoft software is not free. If you want an older version you might find one here:

Here is Microsoft tutorial for Office 2007. Take some time to look it over. You may find Word 2007 not so bad after all. Also, have you tried hitting the Help button?

Not legally, but you may try OpenOffice.org. You may find it much more like the older versions of Office.
