I currently work 3 minutes away from my house (I live with my parents in the country) and I received a job offer to work 2.5 hours away from my home in they city. It pays twice as much as I'm making now. Cons: I have to buy a new car (the one I have now is not reliable), pay rent, and I would be away from my family and my loving boyfriend.
I'm feeling a little queezy about all this. My bf supports me, but I'm sad because of the distance there is going to be between us. Am I being silly about this? Please comment!

I would have to rent an apartment there. I would come home on my days off.
My BF can't leave his job. He is the CEO of an important company.

If it's your DREAM job - then go.
If it's not that great - but just good pay - don't.
You will be miserable.
1.What's the point of having more money if you have noone to spend it with.
2. Half of it will probably go on living expenses and travel anyway.
You'll know what to do.

ask yourself these questions: with the job you have now and the whole situation you currently have with your family and b/f would it all be worth it to work 2 hours away? are you that eager to be out there on your own...traveling so far away and only seeing your family and b/f on the weekends knowing that some weekends you might not be able to visit them at all or are you content where you are right now? will you eventually have to move out of your parents home anyway because you cant stay there forever? what new adventures or opportunities would moving to the city bring to you that could be very positive for you? would it be that bad just having a relationship with a guy who lives just 2.5 tiny hours away from you because, after all, it could be worse...you could've gotten the job offer way in another state? hopefully these questions, and others you might come up with, will help you decide. God's blessings to you whatever you decide. good luck :)

Before making any decision hastily, why not go to this city and see what it has to offer. While there take a tour, see what it has to offer and take note of what the rent is and if there is public transit throughout the city. Get a feel of the city and decide if this a place you could grow to love or grow to hate.
Although it is understandable that family ties and boyfriends can make or break your decision to move but be sure your making this decision and no one else. Life is short and opportunities come once in a while, be sure you are happy with the decision you make.

Thats part of life. If you like the job, go for it. Things change. You didnt state your age, but if u r over 21, dont you think, maybe, you should get out of mom and dads hair and start your own life? Your BF can drive to see you when he can. I wouldnt buy a new car until I have settled into my new place. you can rent a car once a month and drive down to see everyone. It might do you good to be away and flex your wings.

At that distance getting an apartment would be a smart move. If you had to commute you would burn out quickly. The most feasible distance is 1 hour away. I did this for 3 years before I got burned out. With bad traffic or rain It average about 3 hours round trip.

That is too far away. If you are happy where you are at, then stay. If money is the sole incentive for taking this new job then don't accept. You'll end up being miserable because you'll be far away from home, and the job is good just because of the money.

i could bypass with the recent one! You sound as in case you have so a lot greater to grant than what your contemporary interest is keen to settle for. It sounds as while you're over worked and below paid. even even with the undeniable fact that the recent one would look as though a ton of artwork surprising off as quickly as you get in and get the ball rolling issues could delicate out. i think of you're needed there! It a calling kinda factor to me. they such as you you like them its greater money so it could counter with the shuttle. 2 months faraway from a masters could get you many greater suitable than cleansing up a lab at the back of somebody and a minimize in coaching and pay!! Im merely sayin! :-) good success!!!!!

It all depends on how much they pay. I will travel that distance for a six figure salary :)
