ok...here's what you hav to do it will take some time but i promise that it works.

get a leash, put it on her. walk past the flowers and as she is lurching for it, pull the leash and say a firm NO. do it a couple times a day for about 2 weeks. be persistent with your NO's and don't let up on it. you slip once and you will be done with that dog.
after about 2-3 weeks of this training, take your dog without the leash and watch to see if she goes for the flowers. some dogs are 'smarter' than others, 2-3 weeks may not work for you, but eventually it will. a firm no and a firm tug with the leash, she will get that she shouldn't touch them.
be patient, she can learn. you are the leader and she will follow you.

good luck!

yeah, what he said....
Control the dog,
Set her up. Put her on a long leash or rope and let her get in range of the flowers. When she goes near the flowers pull her quickly away and tell her "leave it". Then tell her "come" and reel her in, give lots of praise and a treat. Repeat this often, and when she listens give her praise and a treat. When she starts to respond better stop the pulling and see if she will respond to the command alone. Use treats less and less so she will respond to praise alone. This may take practice, every day, 10 times for weeks to get results.

Tell your dog no, punish her and do not allow her to eat them.

You can also try a spray called Bitter Apple spray - dogs dont like the taste of it. But im not sure if it will harm the flowers or not?

But you should really teach the dog not to eat them in the first place, to prevent her from forming bad habits and eating things shes not supposed when shes older. Its easier when they are younger...

Firmly tell her NO and pull her away. You can grab her collar and shake it a bit (not too hard!) to punish her, as this is what the mother does when the pups are young - biting the scruff of their neck and shaking it to punish.

You can also give her a chew toy instead to distract her.

I agree with the 3 above....put her on a leash and train her not to chew your mums flowers. I can't believe you would get rid of her just because she likes to eat your mums flowers...it's so easy to train her not to.....and are flowers more important than your dog??

Dragonfly is right whatever you do stop it fast. I would comprimise with your mom tell her you will build a garden with a fence..

Or use an underground elec fence . you can make them to where certain areas are "Off limits" make sure you follow instructions and pay close attention to training procedures when using anything like that.

get a leash! There are many poisonous plants out there, you don't want her getting sick from chewing on the wrong kind of plant.
