Yes, as an ex-gay Christian, I know I wasn't born that way. Science even confirms this (Bailey and Pillard, twin studies from the 90's). But, I was born in Sin, with a capital "S", an actual power an entity from this world that is responsible for predisposing me to a condition that leads to same sex attractions, given bio, psych, and social factors that lead one to this. See Romans 6 through 8 if you doubt me on this about this distinction between Sin, and sins.
And, it is also the same for you, for whatever are your propensities. Homosexuality is not a more grievious condition resulting from Sin than any other sexual predeliction. Did you know that heterosexual attraction, with its manifold lustful expressions for the opposite sex, which also is a result from this power and entity called Sin, is not God's will either, and equally so? All Christians, no matter what type of sexual inclination that they experience, need sexual redemption! And none more than others. We are all on equal ground as sinners before the cross of Christ.
The antithesis of homosexuality is not heterosexuality, as if someone must have their predeliction changed to be in God's will. No, the godly goal is not heterosexuality, it is holiness! As some have mentioned here, I find a man French kissing a woman on the movie screen just as offensive and unnatural as a woman doing the same with another woman on the screen! Did you know that in India the former is considered taboo, and most places there it is unlawful? They are right! Holiness leads us to understand that God made sexuality so beautiful as a private intimate experience between a married man and a woman, that it needs to be protected from public view at all costs!
In other words, why are you not just as offended by R rated movies, straight pornography, no fault divorce, cohabitation, etc. Need I go on? If not, you are scapegoating homosexuals at the expense of what is the core issues with what's wrong in our society. Homosexuality, as it is described in Romans 1, is the salient signal there that something was desperately wrong with the Roman culture, as well as ours today; but it is not the problem in itself (similar to the engine light coming on in a car, indicating that something needs fixing)! Just take a look at verses 28 through 32. These sins are just as offensive. If you don't think they are, then you do not know what sin is, and how to be free of it, since you don't see it clearly in yourself by your riveted myopia with others, that being homosexuals!

"People are not born gay"
WRONG!
"God don't make you gay."
If he exists the way you are sure he exists, 'god' makes gays.
Like left-handedness, people do not choose their sexual orientation.
Can you remember the day that you decided to choose to prefer men rather than women as sexual partners?
I didn't think so.
No one else I've ever asked can remember either.
You’re a nasty bigot – the best advertisement for atheism.
Real moderate Christians must be screaming at you to shut up.
Me?
I come here for the comedy; there’s no doubt about it, Fundies really do say the Darndest things.
Laughter is the best medicine.
Thank YOU!

No, I don't. What I do see is another Xian homophobe spouting bile about something that has nothing to do with her. Tend to your own knitting.
ADDENDUM
Actually, I see several Xian homophobes have crawled out of the woodwork to defend their threatened heterosexual lifestyles. (Of course, how many of them really HAVE a sexual lifestyle of any stripe?) It's rather interesting how many of the female gender feel so threatened by something completely outside their ken. Perhaps they should form a knitting club to work off their frustrations.

Sounds like a rant. However, in a book called Words from Jesus, it says that Jesus forgives all who ask his forgiveness.
It has come to my attention that Jesus once said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
So, if it Jesus who will be sitting in Judgement of the sinner then who's place is it for you to judge these people because it is an act you don't agree with?
Don't get me wrong Darling, All of MANKIND is entitled to their opinion and in the US It's a constitutional right.
Being gay, lesbian or transgender isn't my scene.
Now, regardless of what you do or don't believe in, when we say the Lord's Prayer, "Forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us." Do you just recite the words or do you really forgive the way you desire God to forgive you?

Yes it is in fact it is the result of people that deny God. Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
The first step to being a homosexual is to deny God, the ones that deny His Absolute incorruptable nature are prone to become homosexual. For once they become so depraved that they deny God there is nothing left to keep them from becoming depraved enough to do anything. In some ways though I believe that homosexuals are actually not as bad as one might think. Except when they start trying to recruit others, for you see if they did not recruit others into their perversions they would soon die off since obviously they can not reproduce!

I can see being gay as a sin just as much as I can see that being ignorant and judging people is right.
You can continue to be afraid of people that are okay with being themselves, but I'm going to be the one to meet the many worthwhile people that you are will never be able to get to know.

I am not gay but I think that you are wrong; some people might say that because you believe in God and worship him is also not at all natural and a sin to your intelligence; how do you like it now?
Everyone is entitled to choose their way of life as long they do not interfere with others.
Have a good day.

No, Saphira, you are not sorry about anything you rant about. Quit sugar-coating it and pretending you are sincere. Besides, when does your OPINION, and that is what it is, qualify as truth and fact?
No one is forcing their private lifestyles upon you. No lesbian is waiting in the shadows ready to jump your tender bones. Where are the schools teaching kids about homosexual lifestyles? Name one. Or are you thinking of the word
TOLERANCE? I realize that this may be an unfamiliar word to you so I will provide the definition.
Tolerance - to recognize and respect the rights and opinions of others.
If you do not like what is on tv, change the freaking channel. It isn't that hard to do.

don't watch the movies with that content if you sickened by it so much even though instead of a guy and a girl kissing you replace one of them with another person of similar sex and its gross? It can't be wrong to be gay because gays are people and are born with sexual orientation. It isn't a sin and no one can convince me otherwise and you said in one of your previous questions you werent hating this is a hateful question
