1Cor.12[12] For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. [13] For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. [27] Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
We are all the body of Christ if we choose to be. So, yes we can.
In fact:
Col.1[27] To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
This is our hope of ever being a part of his glory. It is all or nothing.
But God is not a humanly man or the image of corruptible man.
Rom.1 [22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools [23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
So for a man to be perfect in Christ he must be spiritually perfect as Christ is.
And to be spiritually perfect we must leave the well known principles and doctrines of what we think is Christ and then we will go onto perfection.
Heb.6 [1] Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Please read the rest of Hebrews 6. I challenge you to understand it completely.

He came to show us the way. He came so that he could sacrifice himself for our sins so that we can be forgiven of our sins and have eternal life. It says in the New Testament that we can strive to have the "mind of Christ". I think the apostle Paul said that. No, I don't believe we can be perfect. Perfection will come when we reign with Christ, after our resurrection. Read John and Acts in the Bible.

Great one,
The only one who ever lived Sinless is Jesus Christ. In the Letter to the Roman Church, the Apostle Paul wrote that "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD". We are unable/incapable of living without sin. Christ was the perfect example but we are never able to live as HE did. Have a great weekend.
Thanks,

When we repent from our heart, and ask God for His grace, we are then Baptized, where we die as Jesus and then we rise out of the water as did Jesus did from the Grave, then with the laying on of hands, we receive A comforter from God the Father, we are now to live our life as Jesus lived His, and are to become Holy as Jesus was Holy. God's spirit will help us resist the influences of Satan, and we can become as Jesus was. Jesus not only came to die to pay our debt for sin, but also to set an example, how we should live our lives.

We can imitate the Christ to the best of our ability, and that is good enough for the Christ, He accepts that.
But because We have the taint of ADAMIC SIN imprinted on us, and the Christ does not, WE still fall short of perfection.
If you are a bible reader, then in the New testament read just how many times Jesus had to correct his Apostles faulty thinking, before and then after His Resurrection.
We are just imperfect, that is all!
he came to teach us about the Kingdom of God His Father in Heaven. Period!
How ever, as we strive to act more Christ like in our daily ventures we get closer to that Kingdom promise of life ever lasting. Free of sickness, sin and death.
Again Jesus knows we are dust, and He knows our failings.
It is O,K. so long as we put out our best effort to imitate Him and so doing imitate His father God Almighty.
That Action along with Faith guarantees us a place in the New Heavens or the New Earth...Both free of Satans Influence.

Not in this life. Jesus lived a sin-less life. Even if we lived sin-less until the end of our lives we would still be tainted by sin.
Yes we can become as perfect as Christ.
1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Psalms 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
The east never meets the west.

No, Christ wants us to try; he showed us in the Word and we can be forgiven if we repent sincerly. This is what we should strive for everything we do should be pleasing to God.

We cannot become perfect like Christ here on this earth because we still have the sin nature. I consder myself a sinner saved by grace. He shows us how to walk in His Word. We just need to live like we believe it and let it make a difference in us.

*Looking around* This new format is kinda cool....
Anyway, as long as we are in our "sinful" bodies, we have the potential to sin. We can make the choice not to sin, but until we get our glorified bodies in Heaven, we can fall. Jesus had the opportunity to sin, but it was easy for Him not to, because He was born of God. So, I think with a tremendous amount of effort, a normal human has the capacity to be sinless, but... and that's a big BUT... we have all sinned. That is the difference. Jesus never sinned... not once. No human being could ever boast such a feat, save Jesus.

Both- He came to show us how to live while on earth, and how to get to God through him so that we can be with Him in heaven. But to answer your first question, no. No one can become as perfect as Him. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
