The Bible says that the Truth will set you free. But Is It the Truth You know that sets you free ?? The word made flesh In your life. When God reveals a scripture that you've read before and It suddenly clicks with you. When the Scripture leaves the head and becomes part of the heart.

When the truth God has revealed to you through His word has become part of your spirit. As a man thinketh In his heart so Is he.

We are changed from glory to glory. When we receive salvation our soul Is saved. Sometimes our mouth & mind(thought process) God has to reveal to us In His word.

I'm excited to see someone still believes in God given revelation of His Word, And Yes, this is the only truth that sets you free.
The quicker we realize we are the fruit of the Seed of the woman, big things begin changing in our lives. We are no longer just an intellectual Christian, but a child of God with revelation knowledge.
We begin knowing truth, being set free by that truth, and begin bearing fruit that remains.

I might not be Christian, however I think I can give a contribution quite to this. Regardless of whether or not or no longer porn/masturbation is a sin, it's whatever you're towards, and that's the principal factor. He's inclined to sacrifice that for you. To you, this might not be a huge deal, but when he is been utilising it for a at the same time, then he is used to it. I'm no longer certain if it used to be the combination that stricken you, or every side. If he is ditching the porn, adequate, however when you insist that he stops masturbating, too, you are going to have challenge. Without that unencumber, his years-lengthy addiction of retaining his needs below manage shall be long past, and he will be very lusty. Regardless of your view, I advocate letting him masturbate... if not anything else, until marriage, while you could then be ready to fulfill him. Also, inside Christian doctrine, there's none with out sin, and Jesus forgives all sin. If he is inclined to difference... why could you recollect dumping him for beyond sins? I guarantee you, you'll by no means uncover any human on Earth who does not have a challenge with sin someway or yet another. Whether its mendacity, having too unfastened a tongue while irritated (verbal abuse) and so forth, every body has a challenge. If you real love the person, and think that he loves you, then do as Jesus commanded: forgive him and transfer on. The reality he is inclined to sacrifice it for you is a essential signal of his devotion to you.

The reason that is right is because God = Reality = Truth = Love in a way that we can't quite fully understand with our limited, mortal brains. Maybe we will in heaven.

But I don't think the heart is a good indicator of the truth that you know. If it makes you feel good, fine. But I don 't think the truth should ever "leave your head." If you know the truth and you don't feel anything at all-- it's still the truth.

What I'm saying is that I think the truth and the warm fuzzies you sometimes get are not interdependent.

I have been through the bible so many times, yet every time is a new experience.
Scripture seems to jump right off the paper sometimes.
I think this click as you call it, I call it snap, is when the Holy Spirit directs your attention and burns the meaning of it into your spirit and after that you understand.
Of course this is usually when you have a question and don't realize it until God gives you the answer.
The knowledge of the truth is knowledge of the whole story not bits and pieces of it, but we have to take it as the Spirit gives it.

I believe the Truth will set you free. We need to find our own truth! God sends us his Holy Spirit to guide and help us. Pray before you read the Bible and be aware for the answers as they will come. They come in many ways, through another person, reading the Bible, a comment someone makes and so on. I would say that if you are reading the scriptures and it suddenly clicks with you, then the Holy Spirit is showing this to you, showing you A Truth. That has happened to me many times. It's a wonderful feeling to finally "get it".

Well there is more ways then one to look at this. “The Truth” is “The Word” of God, and when we live according to His “Word” it will break any bondage that is in our life. However if you want to get technical about it you can look at it this way. Jesus has many names; here are a few of those names: Lamb of God, Man of Sorrows, Master, Living Water, Holy One, “The Word”, The Way, “The Truth” & The Life. Now in John 8:32 Jesus said: “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Now technically since we know one of the names for Christ is “The Truth” we could read it like this. “And you shall know Jesus, and Jesus shall make you free.” Does this help in any way? I hope it does. With Love Glenda †

The same word used in the Greek that is sometimes translated 'set' can also mean 'make'. I prefer the word 'make', because it goes along with the rest of scripture; we never arrive while on Earth, we are continuing on towards where we are going.

Look, it's like this. Do you want to understand all of Christianity in a couple of verses? I'll show you what to look at. You seem to be wanting to understand it, but on your terms.

So please allow me to show you what all of Christianity is in a few verses. Here we go:
John 3
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

For someone to believe that, the answer of how to continue is also there. You continue by the way you started, trusting God to have told the truth. Trusting God to have sent His Son.

That's Christianity's beginning, and that's how Christianity continues to the day we die.

I have come to the conclusion that if God were to shine all of His light on us we would all be as Judas was and hang ourselves.I have read a scripture as you have and it does the same thing to me.Its as if I never read it before.I believe its because I wasn't ready to receive it yet.

1Cr 3:2 "I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able [to bear it], neither yet now are ye able."
As we read the scripture it "leaves the head and becomes part of the heart". Jesus is what becomes a part of the heart.
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Just because a scripture "clicks" with you, does not mean that you truly understand what it means, or that it was God who revealed the meaning to you.

People can read Jesus' own words and actions regarding baptism, yet some of them come away thinking that baptism is not essential for salvation.

That's neither truth or freedom.

I'm on a religious quest and I'm looking for all sorts of answers to thousands of questions, but it seems like you are already there. Reading words will do nothing. I've read Arabic prayers and and Spanish prayers and not understood a word. As a Catholic child I read along with the rest of the church and not understood a word.

Reciting a prayer or a verse from the bible means nothing until you feel it. It seems like your doing that. That's when you come close to what most people call God and are on your way to freedom or enlightenment.
