our gov't is releasing a dangerous offender. He commited whatever (we'll never know) as a "young offender" now at the age of 22 he is out. Served 2 years OOOOOH, tells the gov't where he wants to live, and goes there.

Police know he will re-offend BUT 'he served his time', yeah.

Our justice is a joke. He out, and we don't know why we should be scared but we should (according to police).

We are not allowed to say what he did, or we go to jail. What kind of law is that?

Those of you in Canada, I am sure, know of whom I am referring.

Somedays it saddens me to be Canadian.

In Australia there is such an Act (called something different in each state) called something like a Dangerous Prisoner Act, when the time comes for these offenders to be release because they can not lawfully be held, they must be released and are under such an order with multiple conditions, such as 'not commit an offence' 'can't live near schools' ' abstain from Drugs' 'electronic tags' 'must report to probation officer' 'must report to offender programs' etc etc. This applies only to adult offenders, I don't know what is in place for young offenders

Maybe you could check that out?

Ask the judges. They are the ones who let them out.
