I want to get a job as a housekeeper because I enjoy cleaning and I don't have to deal with retail jobs and deal with irate customers. The employment ads I see from other employers (especially, people who want you to clean their homes) pay very generously and not pay minimum wage unlike other jobs. Anyway, if I get hired to work as a housekeeper, which would be no problem for me, how would I convince my future employers that I prefer cleaning with natural products and not toxic chemicals products and for them to provide the products? Natural products are better for the environment and is not a health hazard than toxic chemical products. I wonder about this alot. Constructive advice is appreciated.

Or do I need to provide my own natural cleaning products?

If I bring my own natural cleaning products, should I charge them extra, that way they don't have to worry about buying it themselves.

How do I go about asking for the extra charge for the natural products? Maybe I should reword my question to prevent confusion.

i would have thought that you would be free to buy your own cleaning products anyway.

Edit - I guess that you should ask them how they would prefer to reimburse you for money spent on cleaning materials.i have never been a cleaner but i would be suprised if they expected you to pay for the cleaning products out of your own pocket. If they did, then you should look for a job elsewhere.

I think in general you will have to pay for them but you could ask your future employers about it. I'm not really sure though.
