i would not buy a hoop from eBay. not all hoops are the same!! your dress might look too puffy or not puffy enough. always try on the hoop with the dress to make sure it hangs correctly. i realize this means paying more at the store (most bridal stores will sell them) but at least then you know it will look the way you want. I'd hate for you to buy on line, it not work, and then go buy another...why pay twice.

Mine came with my dress. You should ask the shop where you bought your dress, or your seamstress/tailor. Although I would reccomend trying a few different styles of slips on and see which you like best. The hoop makes the dress nice and full, but sitting is a real pain. (Or I should say sitting without flashing everyone is a real pain!) In retrospect I would probably go with a fuller cronoline petticoat instead.

Here are a few sites that may help too:

Did you buy your dress from a shop? Some places like David's Bridal want you to buy your hoop, but I'm getting my dress from my fiance's cousin's bridal shop and she rents them out for $15. If you can't find anyone who rents them, 33 bucks is cheap and you could always sell it later. =)

rent one from a local bridal shop. That's what I always did when I had hoop dresses.
