Milk is healthy for him, not to worry. It is liquid for his body, he will be fine. My only suggestion is that you make sure he brushes his teeth with a baby tooth brush. Show him how to do it and make sure he does it in his high chair so you can monitor him. He'll eventually begin drinking other healthy liquids as he grows and develops a taste for other flavors.

Count it as a blessing. They (doctors and nutritionists) now recommend limiting juice. Kids don't need juice. To quote my son's doctor, "Juice is fruit, minus all the healthy stuff, plus added vitamin C which they pee out anyway." If he eats fruit, great. Don't push the juice. It's fine; and even preferable.

Water on the other hand...it would be a good habit to get into. I wouldn't worry too much at 15 months old, unless he's getting constipated or dehydrated. It might be something he'll grow to like, especially if you keep him away from juice, kool-aid, pop, and other sweetened drinks. You could keep offering water, but if he wants milk for now, I would think it would be okay.

Be thankful for the moment! Most kids this age drink too much juice and not enough milk!...and it is NOT good for them! If your son is eating whole fruits (e.g., cut up grapes or strawberries or peaches, etc..., natural applesauce) then I wouldn't push him to drink juice.

At this age, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends NO more than 4 to 6 ounces of juice per day...kids that drink more have gastrointestinal problems and dental problems (I know several kids with metal "caps" on their teeth because their teeth rotted at three from drinking too much juice!). try blending some frozen fruit and apple jucie in a blender to make a smoothie. He should enjoy that? Use all natural apple juice. This way the smoothie is healthier and your son is receiving vitamins from the fruit. maybe he like the consistency of milk. Babies are strange their likes and dislikes change all the time.

Don't buy juice and tell him the milk is gone. Once he gets used to drinking water he'll crave it. I agree he doesn't need juice and my personal opinion about milk is probably different than most people on here, but there are much better sources of calcium, like spinach and kale (and yes, if you start them early they WILL eat this stuff), or you can try goats milk.

Kids don't need juice. Even without sugar added, it's sugary. I would try to get your son to drink water, though. When he is very thirsty, make it water, then serve milk at mealtimes. Kids his age need a lot of milk. My 21 month old daughter drinks mostly milk, and sometimes water, very rarely juice.

I understand that your pediatrician informed you to start offering him juice, yet actual he's not lacking out on something considerable by skill of no longer eating it. Your son seems to be showing that he's not probable involved interior the juice on account that he merely performs with it lots of the time. he will drink it if he needs it, in spite of the shown fact that evidently like surprising now he would not rather need it. don't be bothered approximately him no longer eating the juice. there's no longer a lot nutrition in it, and what there is he's in all hazard getting from different ingredients that he's eating. so a strategies as a sippy is going, my 9 month previous remains attempting to get the carry of it. i actual needed him to apply the nuby sippies, yet he has been doing greater useful with the take and toss ones. perchance in case you haven't any longer already you may desire to aim giving him categories of cups. the two way, he will take one whilst he's waiting and needs it. good success with what you opt for.

He doesn't need juice right now. I wish I wouldn't have gotten my kids on juice because now it is all they want. Keep working on the water, though. As long as he is drinking something, I think he's fine.
