When lobsters are dropped down into the boiling water, it automatically kills them.
I have seen the "Take Home Chef" put live ones in the freezer part of the fridge for 20 minutes, then take them out, and drop them into boiling water. They are in a deep sleep from the extreme cold, and they don't feel anything when they go in the boiling water. Eeeeewwww, poor lobsters.

Lobsters are not dead when they are brought. It they are dead, then you don't want to eat them. Lobsters are bought live and kept in the fridge until you throw them into the boiling water...ALIVE....I'm not sure how long they can be kept alive in the fridge but the scenerio in your book ie alive about 6 hours and moving about certainly could be true...I've bought lobsters in the early morning to have for dinner that night...so....definitely possible.

Ello is right, a lobster or any shellfish releases an enzyme when caught even before it dies which basically starts to dissolve and rot itself, which is seen by the blackening in crab, lobster and prawns. A humane way to cook a live lobster is to freeze it for 30 mins before you cook it which will put it to sleep as such! Also keeps the meat nice and firm

actually lobsters have to be alive until the moment you boil them or they become poisonous...would you be able to come back to life after being boiled? obviously whoever wrote this book didn't know the basics of seafood cooking. so to answer your question, no lobsters can not come back to life after being boiled (btw, no where in the details do you write that the lobsters were boiled, it just says they were in the box.)

Umm NOOO!! This is crazyyy, that book must be fiction...
Thats like saying someone died and than came back alive, its impossible. When you boil the lobster it will kill it, and nothing comes back to life after it's been killed.

I hope you don't believe that crape.

If they do, then there really weren't lobsters in the first place.

When they come out of the pot, do what ever they tell you and you probably won't get hurt.

no.
if somebody stuck you in a pot of boiling water until your hair fell out i'm pretty sure that you would not come back to life. i'm guessing that the book you are reading is fiction.

Yes they can come back to life. But beware. Once this happens they will have super powers and work only for the dark lord.
