This works best on lighter colored hair but you can probably add a red tinge to darker hair with cherry kool aid.
Use the fine kool aid that needs sugar - it is full of dye. Ths stuff with sugar already added is not concentrated enough.
Careful not to get wet kool aid on clothes or towels. It will stain them permanently. (The color might wash out of your hair - especially if it is thick, dark, and healthy - or it might fade a bit but basically grow out and show your natural hair color roots - which is what will happen if your hair is fine, light colored or damaged.)
Get your hair clean and leave it damp. Take some cheapo conditioner, Suave or VO5, and put a tablespoon or two of that in a glass bowl and then add a package of kool aid to that, and stir it up. If you have lots of hair or thick hair, you're going to need to double the recipe.
Stir it well and then rub it into your hair. Let it sit half an hour or so. Rinse it out. Then put some of the thickest conditioner you have on your hair and let it sit 5 or 10 minutes - kool aid can really dry out your hair.
This might be a fun experiment, but it could be a disaster. Are you sure you want to try? Good luck.

It can be done. Kool-Aid has a lot of food coloring. Obviously how long you leave it in and how light you hair is will effect the end result.
Take the packet you want and add enough water and cornstarch to make a paste or add a packet to enough conditioner to cover your whole head. Make sure to use the unsweetened version.

heyy.... so you wanna dye your hair with kool-aid? okay.... it IS posable! My friends did it during holidays it was fun and CRAZY! so here's wut yah do:
first make sure it's okay with ur parents!!
now do you want streaks? if you do cover the places you want to stay your hair color right how with foil.
now you'll need:
2 packs of un-sweetned kool-aid of the flavor of your choice
a lott of conditioner
water
YOUR hair
foil (maybe)
bleaching kit (only if yur a brunette)
plastic bowl *disposable*
plastic spoon *disposable*
plastic gloves
shower cap
if you are brunette then use the bleaching kit and follow the directions but DON't use the conditioner just wash it out...
ANY WAYz...
if you didn't bleach your hair cus you have black or blonde hair then dampen your hair with warm or cool water. now take your bowl and pyut in TWO QUARTER SIZES OF CONDITIONER in the bowl now add BOTH UNSWEETENED kool-aid mixes and stir till you get that color. NOW... put on plastic gloves and put the mixture on your hair. now put on the shower cap with ALL your hair in it.
Now iof you have dark hair you wait 12 hours or if you have light hair you wait 6 hrs. then rinse ALL out when time you have to wait has passed by. congratz yur hair is colored.
TIPz:
If you don't like the results, the quickest way to get it out is with toothpaste
Be patient! Some people think that this could damage your hair, but you are letting conditioner sit in your hair for 8 hours (average). Also make sure you use 2 packs of Kool-Aid, or it will not work.
Smear Vaseline on your skin near your hairline so you don't get a colored forehead or ears too!
IF you didn't happen to have any gloves, the easiest way to rinse the kool aid off of your hands is to use shaving cream.
so yeahhh
have funnn

yes but you have to have light coloured hair or dye it blond
mix the sugarless stuff with a little water so it makes a thick paste. it will stain your skin so use Vaseline around your forehead, back of neck and ears.
you need to leave it on 20-30 minutes and rinse it out.
should last 5-10 shampoos.(sometimes longer)

My cousin has executed this earlier, and likely it rather works. you need to use the kool help it rather is obtainable interior the packets and would not incorporate sugar. (or you will desire a sticky mess) dark colored kool help works superb. i think of in basic terms making a fairly centred batch and soaking your hair in it for a on an identical time as would desire to artwork.

The only way you can dye it with kool aid is if you have blonde hair.

DON'T DO IT! If you sweat from dancing in the club or something. It will smear down ya face and on to your clothes. With halloween coming up. Finding alternate temporary hair dye will be really easy. Having blonde or light colored hair will make it easier to see. Good luck!!

Sounds messy but do able and it will eventually wash out. Use the one with sugar in it and you'll probably be able to spike your hair. And no these are not instruction, I was just musing over the question.

I have never died my hair with kool-aid. I think it would probably damage your hair, due to the ingredients. I have colored my hair 3 times. First I got my hair highlighted, but at a beauty shop. Then my mom and I died it w/ loreol color. (Auburn/Red) and then I recently got blond highlights, but again at a beauty shop.
