I picked Tank in an the same question last week, but nobody knew when and where they were fighting. Thanks for that. I would pay to watch this fight.
Tank is not a very likable guy to most martial artists. We probably all know someone like him though, or even have one in the family. Tank is a self-professed sadist and street-fighter. But, he did have a boxing career at some point, and also wrestled. Some said in the last question that Tank had no submission defense. I say maybe look at his fight with Oleg Taktarov. http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfinder.asp?FighterID=47Ok, it was 12 years ago, but Oleg could not submit Tank for almost 18 minutes, UFC 6, no rounds only a time limit.
Tank hasn't won a fight for a few years. http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfinder.asp?FighterID=110
But, he did knock Cabbage out in his last win. He nearly beat Maurice Smith if not for a stand-up by Big John late in the fight when Tank was just holding Mo down. The point is that Tank has faced some of the best fighters in the history of the UFC, and has almost always looked respectable.
Now Kimbo, looks like a straight up street-fighter. The guy has built a reputation using YouTube, which is an amazing achievement. But, the guy doesn't have much real competition fighting experience. He took down and submitted Ray Mercer, who is an old retired boxer, never been taken down in his whole career. In the only other Kimbo video I saw that involved grappling, his dread wearing manager jumped in as soon as Kimbo was taken down. I still haven't seen Kimbo get hit or taken to the ground aside from a basic guard that he learned from a few days of training with Bas Rutten. That was a wise move by Kimbo, and from what I saw of the video, he showed proper respect to Mr. Martial Arts.
Anyway, I could be totally wrong. I don't like anything that Tank represents. He is just part of the nostalgia of the UFC. He fought back in the days where you knew little or nothing about your opponent, no tape. Everything except for biting and eye gouges were legal. Head butts, knees on the ground, striking to the back of the neck, even groin shots were legal and used often. The UFC was a tournament where the eventual winner had to defeat 4 opponents in one night. There were no rounds and no referee stand-ups. Of course the legend was capped by a 185 pound Brazilian Jujitsu specialist who looked more like a bowler than an athlete and just happened to become the first Open Weight UFC Champ, with patience and technique. This was right before Tank came in, but he did fight in the original format which was a lot tougher than the MMA system of today.

Hadn't even heard of Kimbo Slice, so I ,of course, googled
him....and watched a couple of his back yard fights....
As for this "match"....is Tank actually still fighting?...he's been
a parody of himself for years....
Can't imagine anyone paying to see this, but as for an outcome....if it's straight stand-up: tank if it lasts 30 seconds or under....anything else and tank will gas and get his lights turned out

I really don't want to see this... You'd have to pay me the PPV price to watch it. As little as I care about this fight, I've got Tank by decision, after both gas and put on a horrible show that some people will think deserves to be fight of the year. OMG LIEK DAT WUZ AWSUMMM!!!
