I am graduating high school next year but was just wondering can you still send out graduation announcements if your not having a party. It's not that I want gifts (although it would be nice!!!! ha ha ha) but I still want the experience of annocing my acomplishments to my extened family. Is this poor etiquete?

Go ahead and send out the announcements. It is not in poor taste to tell your friends and family about your accomplishments. Congratulations in advance.

Alot of people I know in my family, including me, have sent out graduation announcements without having a party. Whenever I receive a graduation notice, I send a gift card or check to the graduate. I've received the same things too :-)

Yes, you can send out announcements. And you can order the "official" ones through your school. I'm sure a company will come and give you lots of information on announcements/invitations, clothing, tassles, picture frames, etc., along with ordering your cap and gown.

I don't think it is necessary to announce your graduation. They would assume that you would graduate unless you are really dumb. Marriage is another thing, you may announce that.

Of course it's ok. How else are you going to get cards stuffed with money if they don't know you graduated?
