I find it very hard to beleive that the mother or any other parent would not know this was happening to their child. Police description of the video was imagine the worst things that an adult male could do to a little girl he did everything and anything to her but yet she showed no emotions or tears.meaning it was done to her several times and someone made her feel it was ok. I wonder who was videotaping hmmmm????? When Madison was in the care of her mother were there no bruises cuts or blood???? how could she have no idea where and who her child was with. Would you (gnurse) leave your child with a man like that ??? would you not have natural gut instincts that something was wrong ???? I refuse to beleive those parents had no idea what I do beleive is that they were about to get caught so they had to lie. Where any of these parents at the hospital you use to work at given lie detectors. Please watch the movie "running scared" the eye is very deceiving.

In response to "No cry babies" remark about the mother not being aware:
As a former psych nurse who worked in a children's unit, I can assure you that a very large percentage of children who are sexually abused, have parents who have no idea.
It does not mean that they are bad parents, or that they neglected their child. If it were that easy to detect, there wouldn't be so many children who are abused. It's very easy to sit here and make comments like "where were her parents?" when you are not in their situation. Can you imagine how you would feel if you had no idea that this had happened to your child until you saw it on TV? It's hard enough to find out from someone that you know, but to see it on television?? I feel just sick for this little girl, but also sorry for this child's family. It is a very, very, difficult thing for the parents to go through.

I was just reading on the NY Daily News website.
The article is poorly written, so it's difficult to tell if Madison, or the tape of Madison has been found.

Either way, I think they ought to put him in a Cell with Michael Vicks and have the prison guards turn a blind eye for 5 minutes.

added: I guess she is safe. She was found safe with relative and mother knew nothing of the rape. I'm baffled. Your daughter is gone long enough to be raped, and even police state that her lack of emotions indicate that she'd been raped prior to the video. But Mom wasn't aware? Okie dokie.
