Fold the napkins lengthwise about 2/3 of the way, or fold both sides in towards the centre, leaving a space or "nest" for the silverware. Looks nice and is functional.

I worked ina country club once and we had to fold napkins in several fancy ways.....wish you were here for me to show you, kind of hard to do online. There has to be online instructions for different ways to fold one. Diagonal is more asthetically pleasing to the eye.

it depends on what type of table i'm setting - flat, fan, tent, bird of paradise - heck even did a two napkin peacock once - but ONLY once - took me almost 2 hours to do the 48 needed!
