voice recording software?

is there any free computer voice recording software, that you can hear yourself through your computer as you speak. the default Microsoft ones can't do that.

Actually, it can. Open your Volume Control, click Options>Properties, with Playback selected check all boxes, click OK. Then under Microphone, make sure Mute box is unchecked. You can then hear yourself.
