yes, it is very sad that Illegal Alien parents use their children as pawns...So what does that say about the parents who decided to plop their children in the US to give their kids citizenship? In America we call that exploitation...and those who cross the desert and come in by coyotes should be charged with child endangerment...

Yes it is sad. Some children will not even be aware they are undocumented. Very often people around them either will have no idea either as they seem like the all American family.
It's sad to see the values of this country being abandoned with the treatment of these children. Remember too, even parents who came here legally, their children must leave when they turn 21 if they have not been able to secure permanent residence. You can be here 30 years on a visa without ever gaining the right for a green card you know! Think about the scenario of someone that comes over here legally, doing a professional job & paying high taxes. Can't find an employer to petition for them for a green card as then the highly skilled employee can leave & find a job with another company )no motivation for the company there now is there!). The person has no right to work where they want on a visa & will never get the right to obtain a green card in their own right. You can never apply for a green card for yourself. Their children will become illegal on their 21st birthday & there is no legal path the parents can take to prevent this from happening..................food for thought isn't it!

No, but their parents did make a choice that they knew could effect them for the rest of their life. The burden our government would face by making all of these babies legal would be too much to handle.
Then what would happen if their parents got deported? The babies would get left being, basically orphans.
I'm all for immigration, and making the current situation in our country better for both immigrants and citizens, but this argument doesn't make much sense to me. If the parents cared *that* much, then get here before the baby is born and they'll be legal for life.

BAD illegal Babies!!
BAD !!!
But seriously, the parents should be punished for child abuse and/or child endangerment for dragging their children through the deserts or trusting human smugglers for THEIR childrens' well-being for the journey here.

This country is NOT their homeland. They were not born here. There homeland is where ever their illegal criminal alien parents came from. It is those parents faults that the child is in the situation that they are in, not us legal citizens. Illegal is illegal, no matter who you are or where you are from. All need to be deported.

Because illegal is illegal. If you took a survey of the world, about 90% would choose to live in the U.S. So, it would be standing room only. We can't let everyone in that wants to live here. It just doesn't work. How about if 70 people lived in your house with your family? That wouldn't work. That is what we have going on now with the illegals.

What they are doing is committing a crime. If it were any other crime, the child would be taken to DSS and put in foster care. Maybe that's what we should start doing... it would defiantly slow down the illegals i do believe!!! And then we can give them a life that their very existence her is not illegal. We have to pay for them anyways one way or another. Welfare, loss of job and on and on! Think about it.

A parent is responsible for their child. Who would the child stay with if they had no parents? Making the child a ward of the state would mean that our taxes will pay for that child to stay in the states until age 18-21y.o.
The government will not be willing to take on this responsibility.
The child has to go where their parents go. The child is not being punished, the parent is being forced t be responsible.

Because their parents broke the law. Our government should not automatically be responsible for their wellbeing and support. That is solely the role and responsibility of "responsible" parents. I have no sympathy for those who enter illegally then try to hide behind their "anchor babies". Their parents carry the full blame. Our immigration laws don't break up families. People who come here illegally do. They risk the consequences for their actions. Don't try to make it an emotional "humanitarian" issue. That is total BS...
