Luke Chapter 16: 26

After Jesus Died, Paradise was moved from the Middle of the Earth (next to Hell--separated by a Great Gulf) to Planet Heaven.
It now Surronds the Throne of GOD.

You will have to figure out why People would want to go from where they are to the Other Place.
My Thoughts are this: People in Hell would "of course" want to go over to Paradise.
People in Paradise would probably not Realize the Torment the People in Hell are going through, but they miss Others.

What if the god that really exists sends all good people to heaven and all bad people to hell except people who pretended to know for a fact another god existed? then all good atheists are going to heaven but YOU ARE GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL. Why not repent when you still have time? Why risk eternity in hell?

And how can you worship a sadistic god that tortures good people - most of the people who ever lived - for all eternity?

Pascal's wager:

"If god exists, it's infinitely better to believe, since you get heaven instead of hell for eternity. If he doesn't, it doesn't matter since you're dead anyway. So overall it's better to believe"

This is, of course, false.

Some of the problems with the argument:

* The implied assumption that god may exist (with a 50% probability, no less!)

* The assumption that there is an afterlife with a heaven and hell

* The assumption that the god cares about belief in him/her above all else

* The assumption that if you believe in a god, it will definitely be the same god that actually exists.

* The assumption that you lose nothing if it's false. You have lost a great deal, from time praying to a nonexistent entity (some people pray several hours a day!!!) to morality (your god may ask you to hurt other people) and much more besides.

* The assumption that people can believe in something simply because it benefits them. Would you believe goblins exist for twenty bucks? Why not?

* The assumption that any god won't see through the "believing just to get into heaven" ploy.

That is your belief so ask yourself and other christians that question. Hell is here on earth. It's not a punishment. Jesus was a spiritual master and is not the way anywhere. Satan isn't real either. I've made the right decision for me so stop trying to insist it's wrong. Try to follow the teachings of christ instead of the church.

Inanna love you. Goddess bless you.

you have been mislead my friend, there is Hell but not the place of flames and eternal burning that you have been told about ! simply put Hell is the grave and we are all going there, now to have a home in Heaven you must accept Jesus as your savior, repent of your sins, and ask forgiveness in Jesus name and be baptized and keep the commandments of Jesus ! you need to study the bible for yourself to truly understand!i prefer the King James Version and you cannot ignore the old testament it is vital for a true understanding of scripture!Bless You!

Worse than wanting to go to hell is that there would be a benevolent god that is all mighty, and yet would chose to send others to a place like that.
A benevolent god can do anything, so...if there are people who are so injured that they behave in mean and bad ways, wouldn't it be better if a benevolent god was the kind who mended them instead of tortured them?

'Cause if going to heaven means being stuck with people like you, then I'd rather be in hell. Of, since I believe that Hell doesn't exist, I really have nothing to fear!

Happily I'm an atheist so I don't believe in all the childish stuff you believe in BUT if there was a heaven and you were there and I had I choice I'd say: Thanks but no thanks.

BUT if 'god' exists it's narrow-minded bigots like you who be going to the dark place.

Oh, thanks for the comedy - you have no idea how good you are for my health.

That's where all the cool atheist will be. I would rather be in hell with my fellow atheists than in heaven with a bunch of Fundies. Though I suspect that if heaven really existed (it does not) there would be many many more atheists there than Fundies.

Please do not prosetylize here.

Neither heaven nor hell really exist, but if they did, I'd rather go to hell because god is a sadist and I would never want to be with him or those of his followers that do not question things (as the questioning followers are said to go to hell).
