Yes! You can obtain a working Visa for the amount of time you choose (3 months, 6 months, etc.) which are very easy to get, particularly for young people. I'm not sure of the specific requirements, but I doubt there are many. Probably just that you can speak English and will be able to get a job once you arrive. I know quite a few people who are ages 19 and 20 (from places such as Sweden) and are coming to Australia with working Visas without any problems.

A lot of filipinos/filipinas study nursing while in the Philippines, as nurses are in demand not only in Australia, but various other countries all over the world such as the USA and UK. I know a lot of filipinas where I live in the UK that are either nurses, midwifes, or are involved in some other form of healthcare.
