True repentance means more than just saying "I'm sorry". There's more to it than that. People who honestly think they can live a dissolute life and then get in "under the wire" with a deathbed confession are in for a rude awakening.
Christians do not believe that just because you are non-Christian you will go to hell. Read Paul's Letter to the Romans in the New Testament.
Your questions show ignorance

To go to heaven, the bible says we must believe in Jesus as the Son of God.
John 14:6 -- Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Someone who has lived the life of a murderous pedophile obviously doesn't love God or follow Jesus' teachings. God looks into our hearts, not by whatever we happen to spout out on our deathbed.

Who told you if you say "I'm sorry" two seconds before you die you go to heaven?
That is a lame expectation held by atheists. Before the two seconds are over you'd meet a rude awakening.

The principle of pardon in certain religions like christainity and Islam which is modelled after christianity, is a ruse to encourage people, most of whom would sinners only, to join the religions and swell their ranks .
These are not truths or facts .

It's not. I have reached the conclusion that "to forgive" is not the same as "to pardon from a crime." I think God will still love people after they sin, but He'll still punish them for their crimes.
Don't bother looking this up in the dictionary, I think this is merely what Jesus meant when he used the Hebrew term.

The thing about that is some people do it as a last desperate grab. How many actually mean it, we don't know.
They say that before W.C. Fields died, he was skimming through the Bible looking for "Loop holes." I wonder if he found any...

It's not that simple. You have to develop a relationship with Jesus. You can't do that in 2 seconds. Besides, God hardened Pharoh's heart. There's no guarentee that He won't do the same for you, too.
Did you know that David AND Moses were both murderers?

salvation is not by human works, but a gift from god. repent and believe in the only savior, Jesus, and you will be saved.
nothing we can do will save us.
only god knows if that pedofile was truly saved. you cannot tell if someone is saved just because they say a little prayer or walk down the aisle and sign a card.
time will tell. their fruits will tell. their actions and words will tell. but ultimately, only god knows.
again, human works do not save.

Doesn't work that way my friend. People can't "play" God. Some claim they will sin it up and then wait until getting older to serve Him. Do they know that the habits they live by today, will carry over with them for the rest of their lives?
