My friend had this problem with both feet and had braces...pleeez take her to a foot specialist...just tell her doc to refer you to one that works with children in your area! The sooner the better! She is doing alot of growing now and it will be easier to correct! you will probly NEVER know when she is older!

Go to a specialist or another doctor for a second opinion. People always think because someone is a doctor, they must know what they are talking about. But really, doctors make mistakes. You need to go asap because if there is a problem, the older she gets and the longer she walks on it, the harder it will be to correct. So please, go get a second opinion. And if the doctor wont refer you to a specialist, call your insurance provider and get one from them or go to a doctor and pay cash for a consult. If they tell you it looks serious and they need to do more tests, just go tell your doctor (do not pay cash for the tests). If they still wont refer you, call your insurance company and complain and change doctors. Good luck.

take her to a pediatric orthopedist, they can better tell if she has duck feet. if it is severe enough they may want her to use a night brace until it straightens as she grows..there can be problems with her ankles later on if it is bad enough. as a consideration though..recent studies have shown that children that use a brace for a long period of time can develop slight hip problems later on. best to go to a specialist, get info you need and then make an informed decision

My mom said that i had the same problem. I had to wear a brace for a couple of years, but i don't know what causes it or what it is called. Take her to a specialist and see what they say. You never know your doctor might be right and she will go out of it.

My daughters feet slightly turned in as she walked. Pediatricians didn't worry about it for awhile, but I kept asking. Finally I went to a podiatrist. The wanted to put her in special shoes, or have her put special inserts into her shoes to force her feet to turn correctly when walking and ultimately train the muscles to turn her feet correctly. She hated this and would never wear the inserts, it hurt. We went to my husbands chiropractor and she fixed it through once a week visits for about 6 months. She is fine now!

My nephew started walking with one foot turned out but he straightened out. I would take her to the orthopedic Dr.
